All about Jenny and Oleg

So how did two people, from two different ends of New York find each other? and then ultimately prove that they no longer need anyone else to complete them that they want to share the rest of their lives together?

Well, it all began online! Yes believe it or not. We met on a website call Whimit, which was a Russian community online for primarily New Yorkers. The website was not a personals website, but a place to find people you already know or make new friends. Usually I (Jenny) got plenty of comments from boys, but none worth my time. Then one day I was rummaging through random profiles, just looking for good looking boys and then my eyes opened wider. I landed on a profile where I saw a handsome young man in a United States Marine Corps uniform and I was dumbstruck, I wasn't one for flirty comments but I left him a smiley face and the rest was history.

Soon after talking online we began talking on the phone and then on January 24th 2004 we decided to finally meet up. We went to a comic convention as our "first date" and then we did everything together from that day forward. It was difficult for Oleg to get to me because he lived in the end of Queens and I lived at the tip of Manhattan, but he did it without complaining, that showed me a lot about his personality and character, that he found me worthy enough for the 2 hr train ride.

Then came the unfortunate news... on May 8th 2004, he recieved a phone call that he was being activated for duty in Iraq. I never left his side, he had to going to dessert training in California before his initial departure overseas and I had to see him again, so I took a red eye to San Diego and spent the weekend with him. We did so much in so little time and couldn't get enough of each other. We both knew that in the next few months, anything could happen.

March 15th 2005, After a dreadful 7 months, Oleg returned from Iraq SAFE AND SOUND! thank goodness! I hugged him so tight and didn't want to let go. We hit a minor rough patch soon there after as he was getting back into the swing of things, but I kept my cool and patience and we got through it and even went on a cruise, together.

On July 26th 2005, I turned 21 and Oleg asked me to marry him. I said YESSSSSS. then over the next few months me and him bonded even more, we wanted the wedding to be the result of both of us being involved in all of the decision making all the way from the flowers to the cake. Me and him picked out everything, and our awesome parents helped us afford the wedding of our dreams!

After much waiting and preparing we had a beautiful wedding on April 29th 2006 at Pastorle on Bright Beach (Brooklyn, NY) even the weather was great! Everything went smoothly and I couldn't have been a happier bride on that day, not to mention Oleg looked sharp as always in his USMC Dress Blues. Everything from my gown to the flowers looked great and just the way we had planned it to be. Although neither Oleg nor I remember too much cause that day went be faster then I could say "it's finally here". We were happy to begin our lives together in a room of people who love us both dearly.

May 20th 2006, we sailed off on a 7 day Norwegian Dawn Cruise to Bermuda/Bahamas for our honeymoon. We had a wonderful time, just the two of us, enjoying each other and learning more about one another while exploring under water adventures and land tours! not mention on the boat shows (Broadway style) as well as spending plenty of time trying our luck at the casino! ha-ha we had a blast!

In 2007 we had a beautiful baby girl!!! her name is Katherine Milana Podushko, she was born on October 25th 2007. Everyone is excited to see what the future holds for us all! Oleg is on his way on becoming a New York City Police Officer, something he has really wanted to do. Me - well I've been running my own at-home business call TBO Designs, Inc (www.tbodesigns.com) - a celebrity photo retouching and graphic design business.
